Bugs...

Oh gosh. I have not been skipping blog school, LOL. I had a bug. Fever, chills and an upset tummy. Love home remedies. Stay warm in bed, drink plenty of fluids. That is the most important thing, remember to hydrate! I drank ginger beer/ginger ale, non-alcoholic of course, LOL. Ginger is very good for an upset stomach. Plenty of rest. Hot chicken broth. These things may sound silly or old fashioned but they work! I am feeling much better and want to thank my husband, he took such good care of me! He new I was ill when I turned down food, LOL.
Self Portrait, LOL! Hahaha!

Lovely Day....

If you are not having a good day, I feel for you. So often we all have those days. Today I was able to cuddle with my husband and that makes for a great day! I am married to such a great man and I cannot express enough how much I love him. He gave me the sweetest Valentine and he writes the best poems. He should have been a writer.
Yesterday was great too. I had a Disney Day and watched Pollyanna and That Darn Cat. I did do other things as in laundry, dishes, cleaning, cooking, LOL. Plus, I started our book on, "Love and Respect" It is going to be a nice read. I will have to read through the book before I can comment further.
I hope you are having a good day too. If not, hang in there and know you are not alone, even though you may feel alone, you are not. After all you have me and I will listen. Maybe even help you find joy and laughter in life. I want to be an encouragement today. So lets eat for health, get some sleep and if weather permits take a walk.

Laugh...Laugh...Laugh....

Today I would just like to laugh. Yesterday I was so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open. You know that place when you get so sleepy everything is funny, but if you pass that place, nothing is funny. It is best to catch oneself at the, "Oh, I am silly everything makes me giggle stage", go directly to bed once you have reached this plateau, because after the giggles peak, the least popular of the seven dwarfs makes an appearance, rather known as, Grumpy. Hahaha.
I think I will have a Disney day today. As my age shows, I prefer the old Haley Mills Disney movies. There is some inspiration! Pollyanna being one of my most favorite movies. How can anyone not love Sir John Mills daughter. Right. Its on. A Disney marathon.
Just remembering not to eat my way though the day. I started out very healthy. Taking vitamins, water, cheese on toast. Today we will have baked whitefish, with chips of course, will strive to eat smaller portions.
Will also be starting a new book today, titled, "Love and Respect" by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. A gift from a very dear friend. A book filled with inspiration and common sense practicality, love it!  Am looking forward to starting the book today.

Unexpected Inspiration...

Last night I had the pleasure of cooking for friends and family. We had a small dinner party, ate lots of Mexican food and played Buzz Pop Quiz, which is a riot and we all enjoyed it. I got to spend some time with a new friend and I admire her self control and culture. As an American culture we really do eat to much all at once, as in, portion control. So today's inspiration comes from a new friend and I bet she doesn't even realize it. That is the great thing about inspiring people, it happens when you least expect it too. Today let us foodies eat smaller portions, one meal at a time. And no, this does not mean we eat more meals as they are smaller portions, LOL.
One more thought, it is hard to remember to just laugh when your trying not to burn the buns, LOL.  Second goal for today, just smile and laugh, when appropriate to.

I'm Back And Ready To Go....332 Days To Go!

OK. Inspiration is the key word here. I have come to realize that as humans we crave inspiration. The amazing thing is that it can come from so many sources. Music, nature, books, films, documentaries, a walk, people, faith, friends, the list goes on and on.
What happens when we as people lose are inspiration. Many negatives can set in before you even realize it. Bitterness, despair, discouragement, self-pity, just flat out not caring. It is easy to become discouraged, air pollution, water pollution, animal species becoming extinct, economy, the loss of a loved one, etc. etc. The struggle of life. So what do some of us do, we eat!
Instead of eating for fun, because face it, food is great. I am refreshing my inspiration! Humor being one of the best forces on earth. Ancient writings say humor/laughter is medicine for the mind, spirit and body.  I will be blogging inspiration for the next 332 days, hoping to lose a stone or two along the way.
So, let's have some fun blogging, photos, quotes, funny antidotes, and in general everyday life bric-a-brac.
See you tomorrow. And look for something that inspires you, than share it with me. I really do want to hear what inspires you too!

Reinventing my Blog And What I want to Accomplish

I am taking some time off to reinvent my blog. This is a journey and my blog is a part of that journey. I have gained some good insight this past month and will use all of that positive stuff to refocus what I am trying to accomplish.
Thank you one and all for your support, laughter and general interest. Hopefully, I will be back up and running soon. Until than remember, eat donuts fresh, as when they are stale it is not worth the calories. Ha.
